This page contains important information on making a report and includes access to our online reporting form or 1800 reporting hotline.
In 2019, the Australian Federal Government passed new whistleblower legislation to ensure that people have the ability to anonymously report unethical or illegal behaviour occurring in Australian businesses.
When to Make a Report
If you have information about potential breaches of the law, misconduct, or an improper state of affairs or circumstances by a subscriber organisation, or individual within a subscriber organisation, then you should make a report.
Information submitted can help a subscriber organisation create a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Please note that a whistleblower report is not warranted where the matter is considered to be only a personal grievance without wider implications for the subscriber organisation.
How to Make a Report
A report can be made either using our online form or using our toll-free number.
Our online form is available 24/7 and submissions are stored securely and confidentially. Form submissions are reviewed and actioned during our standard business hours.
Our toll-free number is monitored and answered during our standard business hours.
Our standard business hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed for standard public holidays.
What Information Do I Need to Provide?
The information you provide in your report needs to be factual and enough that the subscriber organisation can act on it for a positive outcome.
Please try to include:
- What happened
- Who was involved and if there were witnesses
- When it happened
- Where it happened
- Documents including images that support the report
- Why you believe what happened was inappropriate
